KANGRA VALLEY

The Kangra valley in Himachal Pradesh is famous for the numerous temples of Goddesses.
The temples are JWALAMUKHI, CHINTAPURNI, VAJRESWARI, BAGALAMUKHI, and CHAMUNDA.
In November 2000, we visited all these temples and in these web pages we would like to share the experiences with all the Devi Bhakthas.

BAGALAMUKHI

The temple of Maa Bagalamukhi is thirty-six kilometers from Jwalamukhi in Bankhandi. The deity is fully covered with clothand the form cannot be made out. The above picture is from the Jwalamukhi temple.The temple in Bankhandi is one of the very few temples of Maa Bagalamukhi.

CHAMUNDA

The temple of Maa Chamunda is in the town of Chamunda
fifteen kilometers from Dharamsala.
